Ok. This entry is quite possibly going to be the most disgusting thing anyone will read on this journal. And not good disgusting. Very bad-makes you want to throw up-wonder what the world id coming to way.
I'm talking about this ...
"Rapelay" is a rape simulation. Essentially, from what I have gathered, the player pretends to be a rapist, who is on a "noble" quest to avenge his fallen honour by attempting to rape a mother and her two children. These women do not fight back and are essentially powerless to do anything. The "player" is encouraged to rape them in every orrifice and only loses if he knocks one up and fails to compel her to get an abortion. Then, as if it wasnt bad enough, the ultimate aim is to break these women and make them a sexual slave. You can invite other men to join in these attacks or tell them about it. Enough? Yeah, I think so.
Why is shit like this being made? Personally I think the people who make this crap should be strung up. I agree with the writer in that article, that the video wont make anyone rape anyone else anymore than GTA makes people steal. But honestly, when did rape become entertainment? When did it become ok to make any specific group a target of something so heinous? When did rape stop being something horrifying, disgusting and terrible and become sexy, entertaining and seemingly noble? I know I am probably preaching tothe choir here, but rape is not sex. It is not pleasant experience and I dont think for a nanosecond that any woman secretly wishes to be raped, nor likes it if she is. Rape is not BDSM or any kind of fetish. Rape is one of the worst crimes that coud be committed and i think it is truly saddening that there are people that do not believe it is such. |

so, life is going from shit to fucking fucked up. a good friend, who i have known for 2 years, turned into a fuckskank and has now played the gay card against me. And i'm not one to cry this at every opportunity that someone is an ass, but this is clear, he's admitted it and it sucks. All over a French girl, who is admittedly attractive, but one I am not at all interested in. Yet he did this, purely to get laid and it sucks. It is where I live and you cant do it. This guy is so wrapped up in a smug air of judgemental arrogance that he cant see how prejudiced and homophobic he truly is. And yet to ask him he would consider himself so progressive and accepting that he doesn't see a person for the colour of their skin, their gender, their sexual orientation. Bullshit. People like this, i find, are the worst people to be around. it is seriously becoming onerous and horrible to live with this crap, this close to exams and the like. But what is seriously getting to me is that i lost a friend, cause the french girl was lovely, although French :), but now he has told a woman that works here. and for me, that is crossing the line. this whole thing is bullshit but there's nothing i can do. fucking asshole.

so, life has been quite hectic lately...and i havent been on here much. uni is full on still and i swear stuff has happened which sounds absolutely mental...like some bad fic, but is true. One "friend" decided she had the cancer of the cervix....total crap. no cancer at all. Who lies about that stuff???!?!?! She even tried to tell me she was having 4 fucking days of radiotherapy. That was it. honestly, i just dont get it. then she went and cried domentic violence on her bf. And has had pregnancy scares. it sounds like its made up crap but really, just...well, its blown my mind. sick sick little girl really.
so i'm still doing the study thing. honours next year. which seems to just be a lot more word for a few more letters after my name when i graduate. but should be interesting. It's gonna be on the Bali drug cases, shapelle, michelle leslie, bali nine etc etc.
oh, and i got 2 tattoos now. got the secind one yesterday. SO much fun really. and highly addictive. sorry i dont msg very much. i never remember to get credit. miss you guys heaps. |

yay for BSG coming back.
Haven't done much. Been trying to keep up with uni and take care of friends who end up bashed more often than not. no joke, a friend of mines family came up, treated her like shit and now she has 2 fractured ribs, a fucked finger and was 3mm away from permanent paraplegia. fun times. but now I have several assignments due and im stressed but yay for holidays soon. And I think my aunt is getting induced today. woohoo |

Ok. So. I've read the book and seen the movie and I have to say that they were both ok.
I loved Luna and Bellatrix in the movie, cause they were awesome. I didn't really mind the movie, thank fuck they got a new screenwriter for it. It just sort of seemed to me like a big cliff notes version of the book, and so I'm ok with that. I still think that Emma and Dan could go for a few acting lessons but meh. Oh, and Maggie Smith and Alan Rickman are way too awesome. I do think they could have added more Remus/Sirius stuff but overall, ok.
As for the book...don't know if it was her best but still good. I really wanted the whole remus/peter confrontation and a remus/greyback fight cause what was the point of sticking it in the 6th book of there was no payoff I ask you.
but now that its over, at least we have a few good movies to watch - provided the fuckhead screenwriter Steve Kloves doesnt get the gig again. |

So. Semester 1 2007 is finished and what a tumultous time it was indeed. From suffering through Constitutional Law, idiots who decide to convert to Islam after studying it for a semester and stupid scruts with whom I have the unfortunate luck to live with, I can categorically say I am glad its over. Despite those little mishaps, the good times certainly outweighed the bad, what with new friends who I can not say enough good things about, who cared enough that they helped me through some stupid shit . Of course, good things do not last forever, and everything has changed now.
Now that it is holidays, I will endeavour to see all of you. I am going to try to stay at home for awhile, but no promises made there and hopefully I can get up to Brisbane and also to Taree.

hey to all...so i got my nipple pierced yesterday....when it first went in it hurt quite a bit and there was a definite "fuck a duck" moment.....but after that, it didn't hurt too much....does hurt a bit today, but that may be because I am dousing it in betadine...ah, the things you do.....it was quite spontaneous too....was just talking with Meg and said "oh hey. lets get my nipple pierced. wanna come?" and yeah..that was it.....she got hers done too. twas fun. A great bonding experience. I would post a photo but, well frankly, I dont want pictures of my breast floating around cyberspace and enough people have seen my breast for a while. and the betadine has turned the skin yellow, so it kinda looks jaundiced. But hey, private showings are available. no question there. Anyway, hope all is well and i shall talk to everyone later |

This weekend I went to Elisha's wedding and it was really beautiful and really really wonderful...selfishly, it was soo nice just to see her again and catch up. we are meeting in April when she goes to Res School but bashing around, setting up her wedding was just like old times.
She looked so beautiful too, her dress was just her and her veil wasn't too....veily. The ceremony was just Elisha and Bryce to the max, there was no pomp or anything, just really simple by the pond.
Also, in related news, her mum, stepdad, brother, sister-in-law and nephew are also some of the coolest people in the world. No Joke. Wonderful people.
slightly related news, I love Steve and the Coconut Trees....does anyone like reggae?...its Indonesian too but so very very awesome...
in other unrelated news, I actually bought a carton of cancer sticks because in the lond run it's cheaper.....but still really really bad.... |

yes, so. I be home after uni. Tis ok but only in the sense that it is not. Dont have any marks back and have begun reading books and books again because frankly, they are far more interesting than text books. Am only around until christmas because then I am going to Indonesia for study. Not that I am very sure it has much merit but there you go. Now have the tickets and insurance and all that jazz. Am possibly going up to bris soon to visit "family" but really, not if I can help it. Thats about all in my life, as shallow and unenlightening as it may be. |
